This document is the User's Operation Manual for Hisense HRBM482SW and HRBM482BW refrigerator models. It provides comprehensive instructions for safe operation, installation, usage, maintenance, and disposal of the appliance.
Function Description:
The Hisense refrigerator is designed for household use, including staff kitchen areas, farmhouses, hotels, motels, bed and breakfast establishments, and catering applications. It is intended for keeping foodstuffs and beverages cool and frozen. The appliance features separate compartments for refrigeration and freezing, with specific temperature ranges for different types of food storage. Some models include a water dispenser for chilled drinking water.
Important Technical Specifications:
- Refrigerant: Isobutene (R600a), a natural gas with high environmental compatibility, which is flammable.
- Climate Class: The appliance performs well within climate classes SN to T, meaning it operates effectively in ambient temperatures ranging from +10°C to +43°C, depending on the specific class (SN: +10°C to +32°C; N: +16°C to +32°C; ST: +16°C to +38°C; T: +16°C to +43°C).
- Power Supply: The appliance requires a single-phase alternating current of 220-240V/50Hz.
- Ventilation: Requires sufficient clear space around the refrigerator for heat dissipation: at least 50mm from the back to the wall, 100mm from the top, and 50mm from the sides. Doors should be able to open 130°.
- Door Reversibility: The door opening side can be changed from right (supplied) to left.

Usage Features:
- Display Controls: The appliance features a control panel with various buttons for power, zone selection (Fridge, Freezer), temperature adjustment (TEMP), mode selection (Smart, Super Cool, Super Freeze, Holiday, NO FROST), and a door alarm.
- Controlling Temperature: Users can set desired temperatures for the refrigerator and freezer compartments. The recommended initial settings are 4°C for the fridge and -18°C for the freezer.
- Super Cool Function: Accelerates the cooling process in the fridge compartment for a limited period, useful for large amounts of warm food. It automatically turns off after 3 hours.
- Super Freeze Function: Quickly lowers the temperature in the freezer to rapidly freeze fresh food.
- Door Alarm: An alarm sounds if the fridge door is open for more than 2 minutes.
- Door Racks: Suitable for storing canned liquids, bottled drinks, and packed food. Avoid overloading.
- Shelves: Removable shelves in the refrigerator chamber for easy cleaning.
- Crisper: A special drawer for storing vegetables and fruits. It can be pulled out, tipped up, and removed for cleaning.
- Freezer Chamber: Designed for storing foods that require freezing, such as meat and ice. Caution: Do not close the freezer door with drawers or the ice tray extended. Avoid leaving drink bottles in the freezer for too long to prevent breakage.
- Twistable Ice Tray: Produces and stores ice cubes. Fill with water below the maximum level mark, place back in the bracket, wait approximately 3 hours, then twist the knobs clockwise to drop ice into the ice box.
- Water Dispenser (if applicable): Located in the fridge door, it provides chilled drinking water.
- Filling: Open the small lid, rotate it, and fill water through the large lid's inlet. Rotate the small lid back to its original position. Only drinking water is recommended; avoid other beverages, especially those with particles, and hot water.
- Dispensing: Push the water dispenser lever forward with a cup underneath. Avoid pushing without a cup to prevent spills.
- Installation: Involves assembling the water tank, lid, and head, then inserting the head into the door and securing the tank.
Maintenance Features:
- General Cleaning:
- Disconnect the appliance from the mains before maintenance.
- Do not use metal objects, steam cleaners, ethereal oils, organic solvents, or abrasive cleansers.
- Clean surfaces that come into contact with food regularly.
- Wipe the control panel with a clean, soft cloth.
- Spray water onto the cleaning cloth (not directly on the appliance) to maintain moisture.
- Clean doors, handles, and cabinet surfaces with a mild detergent and dry with a soft cloth.
- Clean the interior regularly with a solution of baking soda and warm water.
- Defrosting: The appliance uses an automatic defrosting process. Do not use mechanical devices or other means to accelerate defrosting other than those recommended by the manufacturer.
- Frost Removal: Use a plastic scraper instead of sharp objects to remove frost from the appliance.
- Door Seals: Keep door seals clean to prevent sticking and tearing. Wash with mild detergent and warm water, rinse, and dry thoroughly before powering on the appliance.
- LED Light Replacement: The illuminating lamps must not be replaced by the user. If damaged, contact the customer helpline for assistance. A competent person can replace the LED light by unplugging the appliance, removing the light cover, and replacing the LED light.
- Water Dispenser Cleaning (if applicable):
- Remove the water tank from the door.
- Wash the tank, lid, and head gently with water.
- Dry by natural drying or using a dryer.
- Regularly clean the receiving tank with a dry towel to prevent overflow.
- Children Safety: Children aged 8 and above can use the appliance with supervision and instruction. Keep packaging away from children due to suffocation risk.
- Disposal: When discarding, pull the plug, cut the cable, and remove the door to prevent entrapment. If replacing an older appliance with a spring lock, disable the lock.
- Flammable Substances: Do not store explosive substances or aerosol cans with flammable propellants.
- Refrigerant Circuit: Do not damage the refrigerant circuit.
- Ventilation: Keep ventilation openings clear of obstruction.
- Electrical Appliances: Do not use electrical appliances inside food storage compartments unless recommended by the manufacturer.
- Disposal: Dispose of the appliance at an authorized waste disposal center; do not expose to flame.
- Supply Cord: Ensure the supply cord is not trapped or damaged during positioning.
- Power Outlets: Do not locate multiple portable socket-outlets or power supplies at the rear of the appliance.
- Electrical Safety: The power cord must not be lengthened. Ensure the plug is not crushed or damaged and is fully inserted. Do not pull the main cable.
- Food Contamination: Avoid leaving the door open for long periods. Store raw meat and fish in suitable containers to prevent contact with or dripping onto other food.
- Frozen Food: Frozen food can cause frost burns if consumed directly from the freezer. Do not refreeze thawed food. Do not consume ice popsicles or ice cubes directly from the freezer to avoid freezer burn.
- Installation: Wait at least four hours before connecting to allow oil to flow back to the compressor. Ensure adequate air circulation. Avoid placing the appliance too close to radiators or cookers. The mains plug must be accessible after installation.
- Tipping Risk: If the door is opened about 90 degrees, the refrigerator may tip. A rubber supporting pad should be fastened to the lower base cover to stabilize the appliance in such cases.
- Servicing: Any electrical work or servicing must be carried out by a qualified electrician or competent person. Only genuine spare parts should be used.
