Why does my Hitachi Air Conditioner operation stop?
    • J
      Justin BatesAug 13, 2025
The Hitachi Air Conditioner might stop operating due to several reasons: * The micro-computer may be activated to protect the device from electromagnetic waves. In this case, restart the operation. * If “Motion Sensor ON” is enabled on the wired controller, the unit might stop if the sensor detects absence for a prolonged period, especially if set to “If absent: OFF”. This will stop all indoor units connected to the same wired controller. * Following a power failure, the unit should restart automatically if the failure lasts less than 2 seconds. Otherwise, manually restart the operation.

Why is the temperature irregular in my Hitachi Air Conditioner?
    • S
      Scott SimpsonAug 17, 2025
The air flow volume and temperature may be irregular due to structural factors like the size of the air outlet and the location of the heat exchanger.

What to do if my Hitachi Air Conditioner has an odor?
    • K
      keith22Aug 21, 2025
If you notice an odor coming from your Hitachi Air Conditioner, it might be due to smells like cigarette smoke or other room odors that have been absorbed inside the unit. To resolve this: * Ventilate the room well while running the unit in fan mode. * Clean the air filter, air outlet, and air inlet grille.

Why is there mist coming from my Hitachi Air Conditioner indoor unit?
    • D
      diazedwardAug 25, 2025
Mist coming from your Hitachi Air Conditioner's indoor unit can occur for several reasons: * **In restaurants or kitchens:** Oil attached to the fins might decrease heat exchange efficiency. * **During dry operation:** The air outlet temperature might become too low; try changing the operation mode. * **During cooling operation in humid environments:** The air outlet temperature might be too low; raise the set temperature and the air flow volume. * **During FrostWash:** Frost may form on the fins of the heat exchanger.

Why is my Hitachi RPC-2.0FSR Air Conditioner making sounds?
    • K
      kflynnAug 28, 2025
Your Hitachi Air Conditioner may produce various sounds during operation: 1. A grate sound when starting or stopping is normal; it's due to components rubbing as resin parts expand and contract with temperature changes. 2. The sound of water flowing or burbling during operation is the refrigerant flowing or the drain-up mechanism draining water, especially noticeable when starting or stopping the compressor (for about 3 minutes). 3. A growling sound may occur temporarily after changing the air flow volume because the fan motor makes a temporary sound when the fan speed changes. 4. Crackling sounds or the sound of frost melting during FrostWash are normal, caused by the heat exchanger fins freezing and thawing and the extension and contraction of resin parts due to temperature changes.

Why is there dew condensation on my Hitachi RPC-2.0FSR Air Conditioner indoor unit?
    • J
      Joseph LunaAug 31, 2025
Dew condensation on your Hitachi Air Conditioner's indoor unit can occur due to: * Operating the unit in a humid place (relative humidity around 80%) for an extended period. * During or after FrostWash, especially in humid (around 80% relative humidity) and high-temperature environments (above 30°C).
