NOTE
For heat pump systems (2 pipes)
(1)
The connection kit is taken into account from the side of the
indoor unit (as connection kit 1).
(2)
When the maximum equivalent refrigerant pipe length (L1)
from the outdoor unit/connection kit 1 to the indoor unit is
greater than 100 m, the diameter of the gas/liquid pipe from
the outdoor unit/connection kit 1 to the rst branch must be
increased using the reducer (eld-supplied).
(3)
Where the refrigerant pipe length is greater than 100 m,
the pipe diameter does not have to be increased after the rst
branch. Where the size of the multikit is greater than that of the
rst branch, adjust the size of the multikit to the rst branch.
Where the diameter of the pipe selected after the rst branch
is greater than the diameter of the pipe after it, use the same
diameter as the inlet pipe.
(4)
The pipe diameter -4- must be the same as that of the indoor
unit connection.
(5)
Where the liquid pipe length is greater than 15 m, use
9.53 mm diameter pipe and a reducer (eld-supplied).
(6)
Keep a direct distance of 500 mm or greater after the con-
nection kit.
(7)
The installation conditions for the refrigerant pipes are differ-
ent depending on the number of indoor units connected.
(8)
The total pipe length permitted must be less than 1000 m
due to the maximum additional refrigerant charge limitation.

(9)
Longer piping up to 90 m is available only for base units of
FSXNH(E) / FSXN1E series. (Dip switch setting required). In
the case of base units of FSXN1E series: only for the maxi-
mum number of connectable indoor units: (RAS-8FSXN1E
14), (RAS-10FSXN1E 18), (RAS-12FSXN1E 21), (RAS-
14FSXN1E ≤ 26), (RAS-16FSXN1E ≤ 29).

(5)
Where the liquid pipe length is greater than 15 m, use
9.53 mm diameter pipe and a reducer (eld-supplied).
(6)
Keep a straight distance of 500 mm or greater after the con-
nection kit.
(7)
In the case of branches, where the pipe length between the
three-pipe branch -F- and the furthest indoor unit exceeds
5 m, use a T-branch pipe for the three-branch liquid pipe (cor-
responding to the same diameter, as per JIS B8607).

Where the number of connectable indoor units is greater
than four, the high/low-pressure gas, gas and liquid pipes, -4-,
-5- and -6-, must be increased by one measurement, respec-
tively.
