This document outlines the setup and troubleshooting procedures for establishing a wireless connection between a StarBoard FX/FX-DUO interactive whiteboard and a PC using specific hardware components. The primary function of this setup is to enable wireless communication for the StarBoard interactive whiteboard, allowing users to interact with the board without a direct wired connection to the computer.
The core function of this system is to provide a wireless link for the StarBoard FX/FX-DUO. This involves two main hardware components: a Wireless USB Device Server (silex technology SX-2000WG+) and a USB2.0 WiFi Adapter (Planex GW-US54Mini2W). The Planex GW-USUS54Mini2W adapter connects to the PC and facilitates the wireless communication, while the silex SX-2000WG+ acts as a device server, connecting to the StarBoard FX/FX-DUO via USB and broadcasting its signal wirelessly. This allows the PC to recognize and interact with the StarBoard as if it were directly connected, enabling the full functionality of the StarBoard Software. The setup ensures that the StarBoard's input (touch, pen, etc.) is transmitted wirelessly to the PC, and the PC's display output can be projected onto the StarBoard.
The usage of this wireless connection system is designed to be straightforward once the initial setup is complete.
The manual provides several maintenance and troubleshooting features to ensure the system operates reliably.
ping command in the Command Prompt to check network connectivity to the SX-2000WG+. A "0% loss" result indicates a healthy network connection, while "100% loss" points to a connection problem, guiding users towards further investigation.| Multi-touch | Yes |
