Summary

Set up the Cable Modem

Account Information

Find your Cable Internet Account Number and login information ready for Step 3.

Replace Old Modem

Unplug the old modem and place the new one in the same spot or near a Coax and Power Outlet.

Connect Coaxial Cable

Connect the modem to a Coax Outlet on the wall, ensuring a tight connection.

Connect Power Adapter

Connect the Power Adapter (12V, 2A) to the Cable Modem and then plug it into a Power Outlet.

Wait for LEDs

Wait until the four LEDs on the right are SOLID GREEN or BLUE, which may take up to 2-3 minutes.

Connecting to your Home Network

Connect Ethernet Cable

Connect the Yellow Ethernet Cable to the modem's Ethernet Port and your Router's WAN Port or computer.

Test Connection

Ensure Devices are ON

Make sure your computer, tablet, or cell phone is ON and connected to your Router via WiFi or the Cable Modem.

Open Web Browser

Open a web browser; it may redirect automatically or you may need to go to www.google.com.

Activate Modem

If automatic activation is not available, contact your Cable Internet Service Provider to activate this cable modem.

Tech Support

LED Status Indicators

Power LED

Indicates when the modem is powered on.

Online LED

Indicates connection status to your Internet Service Provider.

Downstream LED

Shows connection to a downstream channel (Solid Green or Blue).

Upstream LED

Shows connection to an upstream channel (Solid Green or Blue).

LAN LED

Indicates when a device is connected to one of the Ethernet ports.
