This document describes the HMDX Jam Fusion Wireless Headphones, a device designed for wireless audio playback and hands-free calling. The headphones utilize Bluetooth® technology for wireless connectivity and also offer an auxiliary line-in option for wired use.
Function Description:
The HMDX Jam Fusion Wireless Headphones are primarily designed for listening to audio wirelessly from Bluetooth-enabled devices. They also feature a built-in speakerphone, allowing users to answer and end calls directly from the headphones. The device supports both single headphone pairing and the ability to pair two Jam Fusion headphones together for a stereo experience. When the battery is depleted, the headphones can still be used in wired mode via the AUX line-in jack.

Usage Features:

Controls: The headphones feature several controls for easy operation:
- Line-In Audio Jack (1): For wired connection using the 3.5MM AUX Cable.
- Jam² Pairing Switch (2): Used for single or dual headphone pairing.
- Forward (3): To skip to the next track.
- Volume Up (4): To increase audio volume.
- Power Button (5): To power on/off and initiate pairing.
- Play/Pause (6): To play or pause audio.
- Volume Down (7): To decrease audio volume.
- Reverse (8): To go back to the previous track.
- Battery Status & Bluetooth® Indicator (9): Provides visual feedback on battery and Bluetooth status.
- USB Charging Port (10): For charging the headphones.

- Battery Indicator:
- Solid RED: Charging
- Solid BLUE: Fully Charged
- Bluetooth® Indicator:
- Quickly Flashes BLUE: Pairing Mode
- Slowly Flashes BLUE: Paired
- Jam² indicator (when pairing two headphones): Flashes white when successfully paired.

Pairing a Single Jam Fusion Headphone:
- Ensure the device has Bluetooth® capability.
- Set the Jam² pairing switch to the single position.
- Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds until the indicator flashes.
- Select "Jam Fusion" from the Bluetooth® listings on your device.
- Use the unit's controls to adjust volume, skip tracks, or repeat tracks.
- Note: Once paired, re-pairing is not usually necessary, provided the AUX cable is unplugged and Bluetooth® is enabled on the device. For computer pairing, consult the computer manufacturer for specific instructions and drivers. A pairing code is not required.

Pairing 2 Jam Fusion Headphones:
- Pair one headphone to your device following the single pairing instructions.
- Move the Jam² pairing switch on the first headphone to the Jam² position.
- On the second headphone, move its Jam² switch to the Jam² position and power it on.
- The Bluetooth® indicator will flash quickly until both units are paired. A hint tone will sound, and the Bluetooth® indicator will slowly flash blue. The Jam² indicator will flash white when successfully paired.

Auxiliary Line-In Audio Jack:
- Connect the AUX cable to the headphone's line-in jack and the audio device's line-out jack.
- Press PLAY on the audio device and use its controls to adjust volume or FWD/RVS tracks.
- Note: Auxiliary line-in is a passive feature and does not require the headphones to be powered on. When using the AUX line-in, the controls on the Fusion headphones are disabled; all adjustments must be made on the connected device.

Built-In Speakerphone:
- Ensure the Jam Fusion is successfully paired with your device.
- To answer an incoming call, press any button when you hear a ringtone.
- To end a call, press any button except the +/- Volume buttons.
- Note: When a call is detected, music will pause, and a ringtone will sound. Music resumes automatically after the call ends. For outgoing calls, use your phone to dial. To refuse an incoming call, press and hold any button for 3 seconds. If the Jam Fusion is connected via AUX cable during a call, use your phone to answer or refuse.
Maintenance Features:
- Cleaning: Use only a soft, dry cloth to clean the enclosure of the unit. Avoid using liquids or abrasive cleaners.
- Battery Disposal: The product contains an internal, non-replaceable lithium battery. Dispose of the product in accordance with local, state, province, and country guidelines.
Important Safeguards and Warnings:
- FCC Compliance: This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to two conditions: (1) the device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) the device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation. The equipment has been tested and found to comply with Class B digital device limits, designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. If interference occurs, users are encouraged to try corrective measures such as reorienting the receiving antenna, increasing separation between equipment and receiver, connecting the equipment to a different circuit, or consulting a dealer/technician.
- Modifications: Changes or modifications not expressly approved by HMDX could void the user's authority to operate the equipment.
- Ear Safety: Do not place speakers too close to ears, as this may cause damage to eardrums, especially in young children.
- Intended Use: Use this product only for its intended purpose as described in the manual. Do not use attachments not recommended by HMDX.
- Device Protection: HMDX is not liable for damage to Smartphones, iPod/MP3 players, or any other devices.
- Placement: Do not place or store the product where it can fall or be dropped into a tub or sink.
- Water Immersion: Do not submerge the product in water or any other liquid.
- Children's Use: Not for use by children. This is NOT a toy.
- Damage: Never operate the product if it has a damaged cord, plug, cable, or housing.
- Heat: Keep away from heated surfaces.
- Surface: Only set on dry surfaces. Do not place on surfaces wet from water or cleaning solvents.
