TAKING A MEASUREMENT
Immediately before the pressure measurement, we recommend that you do not
eat, drink, smoke or exercise. Sit down and relax for about 10 minutes before the test.
Remove clothing tightly adjacent to the arm on which the cuff is to be worn. In
order to maintain the same measurement conditions, to compare values, the cuff must
be worn over the same arm. We recommend that you take measurements on your left
shoulder at the same time of day, if possible.
Prior to measurement, the cuff on the arm in which the muscles are relaxed
should be carefully adjusted. Incorrectly adjusted and fastened cuffs may cause an
incorrect measurement.
If the measurement is to be repeated, wait 2-3 minutes between them. It is best
to remove the cuff and lift the arm so that the amount of blood and its flow in the arm
can normalize. The measurement results may be incorrect otherwise.
If it is not possible to adjust the cuff on the left upper arm, it can be placed on
the right upper arm as well. However, all measurements shall be made on the same
arm.
