  If your Holmatro Water Pump tool isn't operating, make sure all couplers are properly connected by disconnecting and reconnecting them. Check that the pressure relief valve on the pump is in the "operation" position, and ensure the pump is placed horizontally. Also, verify that there is enough oil in the oil tank and bring the oil level back to the correct level after setting all tools in the output position.

Why do Holmatro Water Pump couplers not connect or disconnect?

  The couplers on your Holmatro Water Pump may not connect or disconnect due to several reasons. The couplers may be dirty; if so, clean them. Pressure in the tool or hose, possibly from temperature fluctuations, can also prevent connection/disconnection; use the pressure relief tool to release the pressure. Ensure the couplers are properly aligned and press them together smoothly for connection, and support the male coupler during disconnection. A blocked snap ring on the female coupler can also cause issues; check and clean it. If the female coupler is faulty, have it replaced by a Holmatro Certified Technician.

  Your Holmatro Water Pump could be leaking oil because there is too much oil in the oil tank. Bring the oil level back to the correct level, after setting all tools in the output position. Also, check if the couplers are not connected correctly and tighten loose couplers.

  If the couplers on your Holmatro Water Pump do not stay connected, it might be because the external ring jams during connecting. Hold the hose at the bending restriction during connecting. Alternatively, the locking mechanism in the female coupler may not be working. Try cleaning the female coupler with clean running water, drying it, and treating the inside of the external ring with preservative oil. Repeatedly place and remove the dust cap until the external ring springs back. If the female coupler is faulty, have it replaced by a Holmatro Certified Technician.

  If the plunger of your Holmatro Water Pump hydraulic tool does not retract or retracts slower than normal, it could be due to pressure in the system. Depressurize the system by setting the pressure relief valve in the "neutral" position. Another possible cause is air in the hydraulic system; vent the hydraulic system. If the cylinder return spring is broken or there is other damage to the cylinder, contact your Holmatro dealer.

  The Holmatro Water Pump may leak oil from the tank vent during transport if the oil level is too low. Refill the pump with oil. Also, ensure that the air vent valve on the tank is closed.

  If the plunger of the hydraulic tool extends but does not keep its pressure, it may be due to leaking seals, have it repaired by a Holmatro Certified Technician. There may be internal leakage in the pump.
