This document describes the hOme™ Induction Cooktop, model HME010328N, a 1500 Watt appliance designed for household use.
Function Description
The Induction Cooktop is designed for cooking using magnetic induction. It features a control panel with various modes and settings to facilitate different cooking needs.
Cooking Modes:
- Keep Warm Mode (1): Maintains food at a warm temperature. The cooktop operates at the lowest power level and stops automatically after 120 minutes. To activate heating, press "+", "-" or slide the control.
- Simmer Mode (2): Initiates simmering. The default power level is 2. Power can be adjusted using the "+", "-" buttons or the slider.
- Fry Mode (4): Starts frying. The default power level is 10. Power can be adjusted using the "+", "-" buttons or the slider.
- Boil Mode (5): Activates boiling. The default power level is 10, and the working time is 30 minutes. Power can be adjusted using the "+", "-" buttons or the slider. It's recommended to keep the liquid level between 30% and 80% of the pot capacity for safe use.
- Boost Mode (6): Operates the cooktop at the highest power level. Pressing the button again returns to the original power setting. Power can also be adjusted using the "+", "-" buttons or the slider.
Control Features:
- Timer (3): Allows setting a cooking time between 1 and 180 minutes. Each press of the +/- button adjusts the time by 1 minute, while pressing and holding adjusts by 10 minutes. The digital screen displays "0:00" when activated and flashes for 5 seconds after setting. The timer can be canceled by pressing the Timer button again and can be used with Keep Warm and Simmer modes.
- Power On/Standby (7): Turns the appliance on or puts it in standby mode.
- Power Regulating Control + (8) / - (9): Adjusts the power intensity. This can also be done by sliding a finger on the power intensity slider. The intensity light indicates the current power level.
- Child Lock (10): Locks all control panel operations except the Power On button for quick cleaning, preventing accidental changes and protecting children. To unlock, press and hold the Child Lock button for 3 seconds. The "Lock" indicator appears on the screen when active.
Safety Protection Features:
- Over-heating protection: The appliance automatically stops working if the internal temperature becomes too high.
- Current or voltage abnormality protection: The cooktop will stop working if the voltage is abnormal or the current changes abruptly. It will resume normal operation once the issues are resolved.
- Container detection system: If a pot is removed during cooking, the appliance stops heating immediately and returns to Power on mode after about 10 seconds.
- Automatic shutdown protection: The Induction Cooktop automatically shuts off when the set timer duration is reached, remaining off until the timer is reactivated.

Usage Features
Cookware Compatibility:
The cooktop requires pots and containers made of magnetic induction material. A magnet can be used to test compatibility: if it attracts the base of the pot, it is suitable. Examples of suitable cookware include iron oil frying pans, stainless steel pots, iron pans, iron kettles, enamel stainless steel kettles, enamel cooking utensils, and iron plates. Other cookware may not guarantee optimal results.
Operation:
- Initial Setup: Place the appliance vertically at least 10 cm away from walls, curtains, etc. Use an individual socket with more than 12.5A capacity. Avoid universal or shared sockets with other appliances. If a multiple socket is necessary, ensure it respects the power limit.
- Power On: After connecting to power, a buzz will sound, and "L" will blink on the screen. Press the Power on/Standby button (7) to enter standby mode.
- Heating: Select desired power intensity using the + (8) or - (9) buttons, or by sliding a finger on the power intensity slider.
- Post-Cooking: After use, an "H" indicator flashes on the screen, signifying the cooktop is hot. Press the Power on/Standby button (7) and unplug the appliance from the power supply.
Important Notes:
- The control panel is touch-sensitive and does not require pressure.
- The control panel must be clean, dry, and uncovered to prevent malfunctions.
- In standby mode, if no function button is pressed for about 10 seconds, the cooktop will automatically switch off.
- In working modes, if no pot is placed on the ceramic plate, the cooktop will automatically switch off after a few seconds (no more than 10 seconds).
- Noises due to high-frequency electromagnetic waves are normal during operation.
- Never place any object on the ceramic plate before switching on the appliance.
Maintenance Features
Cleaning & Maintenance:
