  Your Homelite Portable Generator might not start due to several reasons: the engine switch could be OFF (turn it ON); there might be no fuel (fill the fuel tank); the oil level could be low (check and fill if necessary); the fuel valve could be OFF (turn it ON); the spark plug might be faulty (replace it); fuel might not be reaching the carburetor (clean the fuel sediment cup); the choke might be OPEN (pull the choke lever out to CLOSED); or the engine was stored without treating or draining gasoline, or refueled with bad gasoline (drain fuel and carburetor, then refuel with fresh gasoline).
