  If your Homelite Trimmer's engine won't start, there could be several reasons: 1. **No spark:** Clean or replace the spark plug and reset the spark plug gap. 2. **No fuel:** Push the primer bulb until it is full of fuel. If the bulb doesn't fill, the primary fuel delivery system might be blocked. 3. **Engine is flooded:** Set the choke lever to the START position, squeeze the trigger, and repeatedly pull the starter grip and rope until the engine starts. This may require numerous pulls.

  The Homelite Trimmer engine might not start due to several reasons. There could be no spark, which requires cleaning or replacing the spark plug and resetting the spark plug gap. Another reason might be no fuel; in this case, push the primer bulb until it is full of fuel. If the bulb does not fill, the primary fuel delivery system is blocked, and you should contact an authorized service dealer. Finally, the engine may be flooded. To resolve this, set the CHOKE lever to the START position, squeeze the trigger, and pull the rope repeatedly until the engine starts and runs. Note that depending on the severity of the flooding, numerous pulls of the rope may be required.

It could be that the string is welded to itself, there isn't enough string on the spool, the string is worn too short, the string is tangled, or the engine speed is too slow. Try lubricating the string with silicone spray. If that doesn't work, install more string. You can also try pulling the strings while alternately pressing down on and releasing the spool retainer. If the string is tangled, remove it from the spool and rewind it. Make sure to advance the string at full throttle.
