In case of engine misfiring, park the vehicle in a safe place, away from flammable items, and allow the engine to cool for at least 10 minutes. If the malfunction indicator lamp blinks again when restarting, drive to the nearest dealer at 50 km/h (31 mph) or less for inspection. Driving with the malfunction indicator lamp on can damage the emissions control system and the engine.
