with the Prestige® 2.0 IAQ
Thermostat
MOUNTING LOCATIONS
Refer to the guidelines below and Fig. 1–5 for
mounting locations of the Discharge and Return Air
Temperature Sensors.
Discharge Air Temperature
Sensor Mounting Location
1. Mount the Discharge Air Temperature Sensor
on the supply duct in a location where the air is
mixed well. Mount the Discharge Air
Temperature Sensor out of sight of the A-
Coil/Heat Exchanger when possible. See Fig. 1.
2. When possible, mount the Discharge Air
Temperature Sensor upstream of a Steam
Humidifier, a Fan Powered Humidifier or a
Dehumidifier that is ducted to the supply. See
Fig. 2–3.
3. If space does not allow a Discharge Air
Temperature Sensor upstream of a Steam
Humidifier or Fan Powered Humidifier, mount
the Discharge Air Temperature Sensor
downstream of the Humidifier. See Fig. 2. When
setting the Delta T Limits (see “Set Delta T
Limits” on page 5), be sure to consider the
affect that the humidifier has on Delta T.
4. If a Bypass Humidifier is installed, the
Discharge Air Temperature Sensor can be
mounted downstream or upstream of the
Bypass Humidifier. Mounting the sensor
downstream of the Bypass Humidifier is the
preferred location, because the air is mixed well.
See Fig. 4–5.
Return Air Temperature Sensor
Mounting Location
1. Install the Return Air Temperature Sensor on
the return duct in a location where the air is
mixed well. Mount the Return Air Temperature
Sensor downstream of a Bypass Humidifier,
Dehumidifier or Ventilator. See Fig. 1–5.

ALERTS AND DELTA T DIAGNOSTICS

Understanding Delta T Diagnostics

Explains how the thermostat tracks system performance using Delta T and alerts for deviations.

Preparing for Delta T Diagnostics Setup

Provides tips for installation and setup, including sensor placement and factors affecting Delta T.

Initial Setup of Alerts and Diagnostics

Steps to configure the system for alerts and diagnostics, including sensor selection on the screen.

Sensor Wiring and Type Configuration

Configure wiring terminals (S1/S2) and sensor type (10K) for accurate Delta T measurements.

Enabling Delta T Diagnostics Modes

Activate Heat and Cool Delta T Diagnostics, with default settings typically set to On.

Defrost Cycle Monitoring Configuration

Set the maximum duration for defrost cycles, during which Delta T is not monitored.

Completing the Diagnostics Setup Process

Option to complete diagnostics setup immediately or postpone it, with reminders.

Running Equipment Tests for Delta T Data

Perform tests for each stage of the HVAC system to gather stabilization data for Delta T.

Setting Delta T Fault Limits and Run Times

Define minimum and maximum Delta T limits and run times based on equipment test results.

Advanced Delta T Diagnostics Options

Delta T Alert Sensitivity Adjustment

Configure sensitivity for Delta T alerts on a scale of 1-5, determining how many fault cycles trigger an alert.

User Notification for Delta T Alerts

Control whether the thermostat displays Delta T alerts to the end-user. Default is typically 'Yes'.

Conditional Delta T Diagnostics Operation

Specify conditions under which Delta T diagnostics are allowed, such as during humidification or ventilation.
