in
detail
the
functional
capabilities
of
the
subsystems.
This
chapter
will
be
of
prime
interest
to
system
operators
and
furnishes
background
information
for
programmers.
Detailed
descriptions
of
operating
controls
are
found
in
Section
III.
The
individual
subsystems
and
the
unique
features
of
each
are
described
in
Appendix
A.
When
the
subsystems
are
being
used
with

system,
the
term
"processing
system"
refers
to
the
Central
processor;
for
the
Series
600/6000,
the
term
refers
to
the
Input/
Output
Controller.
