3. Press the corresponding key for the letter.
Example: Press , and then to type an uppercase A.
To type all uppercase characters:
1. Press the blue modifier key.
2. Press the TAB key to enable the caps lock.
3. Press the corresponding modifier and number keys.
To disable the caps lock, press the blue modifier key then the TAB key.
To type a single special character:
Special characters such as *, & and @ are assigned to the same number keys as a
QWERTY keyboard.
1. Press the shift button.
2. Press the corresponding key (see page 89).
For example: Press and then to type an exclamation point (!).
To type only special characters:
1. Press the shift button twice rapidly to lock the shift function on.
2. Press the corresponding keys (see page 89).
To disable the shift lock, press the shift key twice rapidly.
Note: When the shift lock is on, only special characters and upper case characters can be
typed.
Status Bar Icons
When any of the following keypad functions are On or in a lock state, an icon will
display in the right-side of the CW45 status bar
Icon Description
Orange modifier is On.
Gray modifier is On.
Blue modifier is On.
Blue modifier is locked On.
Shift is On.
