Swipe down from the top right of the screen to open the Control Center.

Sound, Silent, or Vibration to switch between sound modes.
In the ring mode, the phone plays all sounds.
In the silent mode, the phone mutes ringtones of calls, messages, and some
app reminders. Alarms, communication, music, video, and games are not
In the vibration mode, the phone is muted and vibrates instead, which can prevent you
from missing calls or messages.
You can also go to Settings > Sounds & vibration to switch between Sound, Vibration, and
Silent.
