The Hoover SteamJet is a versatile steam cleaner designed for various household cleaning tasks, offering both upright and handheld functionality. It is primarily used for deep cleaning and sanitizing different surfaces using steam, eliminating the need for harsh chemicals.
Function Description
The SteamJet operates by heating water to produce steam, which is then used to clean and sanitize surfaces. It can be used as an upright steam mop for hard floors and carpets, or as a handheld steam cleaner for more targeted cleaning of various items and areas. The device is equipped with a Steam Trigger Button (D) to control steam release and an On/Off Button (G) for power. An On Indicator Light (H) shows when the device is powered, while a Steam Ready Indicator Light (Green) (I) signals when the steam is ready for use.
For floor cleaning, it utilizes a Floor Brush (J) and a Floor Head (K), which can be fitted with a Textile Pad (M) for different floor types. The Carpet Glide (N) attachment allows for refreshing carpets. When used as a handheld unit, it can clean various surfaces such as kitchen and bathroom fixtures, tiles, grout, windows, and upholstery. The device includes a Water Tank (L) for filling with water and a Hard Water Filter (O) to prevent mineral buildup, especially in areas with hard water.
Important Technical Specifications
The Hoover SteamJet operates on a 220-240V, 50/60Hz power supply, with a power consumption of 1400-1600W. It is fitted with a 13 amp fuse (UK only). The wiring in the mains power lead is color-coded: Blue for Neutral and Brown for Live. The device is designed for domestic use only and should not be used for commercial cleaning.
