What to do if there is irregular fertiliser distribution with horsch Farm Equipment?
    • D
      David RuizAug 20, 2025
Irregular fertilizer distribution can be due to several reasons: the fan speed may be set incorrectly, so adjust the setting and measure transverse distribution; there may be air losses from the fall sluice, calibration cover, tower, or leaking hoses, so eliminate leakages; the fan suction filter might be blocked, so clean the suction area; or there may be deposits in the distributor, so clean the distributor.

Why is the current consumption too high in horsch Farm Equipment?
    • A
      Anthony DuranAug 22, 2025
High current consumption could be due to a gap between the metering disc and metering housing that is too small, in which case you should adjust the metering disc. Another cause could be dirt between the housing and metering disc, so clean the metering system.

What to do if seed grains are scattered using horsch Farm Equipment?
    • W
      williamcisnerosAug 26, 2025
Scattered seed grains can occur if the working speed is too high, so match the working speed. It could also be caused by a downpipe not correctly assembled, blocked, or defective, so correct the assembly or replace the downpipe. Another reason may be a trap roller defective or hard to move, so replace the trap roller.

What to do if not enough fertiliser is placed by horsch Farm Equipment?
    • A
      Aaron HolmesAug 28, 2025
If not enough fertilizer is being placed, the calibration may not be correct, so repeat the calibration. Another reason could be seed bridging in the hopper, so use free-flowing fertilizer. Also, the rotor might be sticking, so clean the metering unit. Finally, the radar could be faulty, so calibrate the radar.

How to fix downpipes or drill discs clogged on horsch Farm Equipment?
    • M
      Michael WellsAug 30, 2025
Clogging can occur if the drill has been lowered and rolled backwards, so move the drill only forward when lowered. Also, using a support skid under moist conditions can cause this issue. Remove the support skid and install a clearing unit. Place the trap roller in the parking position.

What causes too many double seeds with horsch Farm Equipment?
    • Z
      Zachary CollinsSep 2, 2025
Too many double seeds can be caused by a vacuum that is too high, so reduce the vacuum and reduce the fan speed. It can also be caused by using a metering disc that is too large, so switch to a smaller metering disc.

What to do if there are too much fertiliser is placed by horsch Farm Equipment?
    • M
      Matthew WalkerSep 5, 2025
If too much fertilizer is being placed, it could be due to incorrect calibration. Repeat the calibration.

What to do if one row does not drill when using horsch Farm Equipment?
    • V
      vmcdonaldSep 8, 2025
If one row isn't drilling, there might be a foreign object in the metering unit, so clean the metering unit. The overpressure connection could be interrupted, so check the vacuum connection and hose. Empty the frame, see Cleaning. The motor could also be defective, so replace the fuses. If that doesn't work, replace the motor (workshop work).

Why is the variation coefficient too high on horsch Farm Equipment?
    • H
      harrismatthewSep 12, 2025
A high variation coefficient, as displayed in the E-Manager, can occur if the required grain frequency is too high, so reduce working speed. It can also be due to an incorrectly adjusted vacuum, so adapt the fan speed. If there are too many missing or double seeds, check the area of grain dispensing in the metering unit and downpipe for sharp edges and check the bristles on the brush. Separating units and metering discs soiled by deposits (dressing, dust) - clean dirty parts.

Why is seed capacity, grain spacing or grain deposit faulty on horsch Farm Equipment?
    • D
      davisfernandoSep 13, 2025
A faulty seed capacity, grain spacing, or grain deposit can be caused by the wrong number of holes in the metering disc, so enter the correct number of holes of the metering disc in the E-Manager under Fruit parameters. It could also be due to a wrong speed signal, so check the speed and travel the test section (100 m) once more, if necessary. Another cause may be a wrong row spacing configured, so check the row spacing in the E-Manager on the parameter screen. Lastly, the trap roller might be worn or damaged, so check the trap roller and replace it if necessary.
