f) Dressproperly.Donotwearlooseclothingorjewellery.Keepyourhair,clothingand
glovesawayfrommovingparts. Looseclothes,jewelleryorlonghaircanbecaughtinmoving
parts.
g) Ifdevicesareprovidedfortheconnectionofdustextractionandcollectionfacilities,
ensuretheseareconnectedandproperlyused. Useofthesedevicescanreducedustrelated
hazards.
h)Donotletfamiliaritygainedfromfrequentuseoftoolsallowyoutobecomecomplacent
andignoretoolsafetyprinciples. Acarelessactioncancausesevereinjurywithinafractionofa
second.
4) Powertooluseandcare
a) Donotforcethepowertool.Usethecorrectpowertoolforyourapplication. Thecorrect
powertoolwilldothejobbetterandsaferattherateforwhichitwasdesigned.
b) Donotusethepowertooliftheswitchdoesnotturnitonandoff. Anypowertoolthat
cannotbecontrolledwiththeswitchisdangerousandmustberepaired.
c) Disconnecttheplugfromthepowersourcebeforemakinganyadjustments,changing
accessories,orstoringpowertools. Suchpreventivesafetymeasuresreducetheriskof
startingthepowertoolaccidentally.
d) Storeidlepowertoolsoutofthereachofchildrenanddonotallowpersonsunfamiliar
withthepowertoolortheseinstructionstooperatethepowertool. Powertoolsare
dangerousinthehandsofuntrainedusers.
e) Maintainpowertools.Checkformisalignmentorbindingofmovingparts,breakageof
partsandanyotherconditionthatmayaffectthepowertoolsoperation.Ifdamaged,have
thepowertoolrepairedbeforeuse. Manyaccidentsarecausedbypoorlymaintainedpower
tools.
f) Keepcuttingtoolssharpandclean. Properlymaintainedcuttingtoolswithsharpcutting
edgesarelesslikelytobindandareeasiertocontrol.
g) Usethepowertool,accessoriesandtoolbitsetc.,inaccordancewiththese
instructionsandinthemannerintendedfortheparticulartypeofpowertool,takinginto
accounttheworkingconditionsandtheworktobeperformed. Useofthepowertoolfor
operationsdifferentfromintendedcouldresultinahazardoussituation.
h)Keephandlesandgraspingsurfacesdry,cleanandfreefromoilandgrease.
Slipperyhandlesandgraspingsurfacesdonotallowforsafehandlingandcontrolofthetoolin
unexpectedsituations.
5) Service
a) Haveyourpowertoolservicedbyaqualifiedrepairpersonusingonlyidentical
replacementparts. Thiswillensurethatthesafetyofthepowertoolismaintained.
a) Mitresawsareintendedtocutwoodorwood-likeproducts,theycannotbeusedwith
abrasivecut-offwheelsforcuttingferrousmaterialsuchasbars,rods,studs,etc. Abrasive
dustcausesmovingpartssuchasthelowerguardtojam.Sparksfromabrasivecuttingwillburn
thelowerguard,thekerfinsertandotherplasticparts.
b) Useclampstosupporttheworkpiecewheneverpossible.Ifsupportingtheworkpieceby
hand,youmustalwayskeepyourhandatleast100mmfromeithersideofthesawblade.
Donotusethissawtocutpiecesthataretoosmalltobesecurelyclampedorheldbyhand.
Ifyourhandisplacedtooclosetothesawblade,thereisanincreasedriskofinjuryfromblade
contact.
c) Theworkpiecemustbestationaryandclampedorheldagainstboththefenceandthe
table.Donotfeedtheworkpieceintothebladeorcut freehand inanyway. Unrestrainedor
movingworkpiecescouldbethrownathighspeeds,causinginjury.
