If the burner on your Hotsy pressure washer won't ignite when the trigger gun is open, the possible causes are no fuel, an adjustable thermostat set too low, a defective pressure switch, dirty or misadjusted electrodes, or no AC generator output. Replenish the fuel supply, raise the temperature setting, repair or replace the pressure switch, refer to the Oil Burner Manual provided with the machine regarding the electrodes, and check the AC generator.

Pamela JohnsonSep 8, 2025
If the unloader valve cycles when the trigger gun is either open or closed on your Hotsy pressure washer, it could be due to air in the system, a defective unloader valve, or a water leak between the unloader valve and the trigger gun. Open and close the trigger gun several times. You can also repair or replace the defective unloader valve. Check the fittings, hose and trigger gun for leaks and repair or replace if necessary.
