Overview

The Hover-1 Turbo Electric Scooter (model H1-TRB) is a personal transporter designed for individual use. It utilizes digital electronic gyroscopes and acceleration sensors to control balance and motion based on the user's center of gravity. A built-in inertia dynamic stabilization system assists with balance when moving forward and backward.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Model: Hover-1™ Turbo (H1-TRB)
  • Net Weight: 15.84 lbs (7.2 kg)
  • Load Capacity: 44-220 lbs (20-100 kg)
  • Max Speed: Up to 7 mph (11.3 km/h)
  • Max Distance Range: Up to 6 miles (9.65 km)
  • Max Incline Angle: 10 degrees
  • Minimum Turning Radius:
  • Charge Time: Up to 5 hours
  • Battery Type: Lithium-ion
  • Battery Voltage: 25.2 V
  • Battery Capacity: 4.0Ah
  • Power Requirement: AC 100-240V, 50/60 Hz
  • Ground Clearance: 1.5 Inches (3.81 cm)
  • Platform Height: 4.5 Inches (11.43 cm)
  • Tire Type: Non-Pneumatic Solid Tires
  • Operating Temperature Range: 32-104° F (0-40° C)

Usage Features:

The Turbo scooter is designed for safe and intuitive operation. Users should always wear a properly fitted helmet that complies with CPSC or CE safety standards.

  • Turning On/Off: To power on, place the Turbo flat on the floor and press the power button (located on the rear). The battery indicator light will illuminate. To power off, press the power button once.
  • Mat Sensors: The scooter has four sensors under the foot mats. Users must step on these mats for proper operation. Applying weight and pressure to only one foot mat may cause the Turbo to vibrate or spin in one direction.
  • Battery Indicator: A display board in the middle of the Turbo shows battery status:
    • Green LED: Fully charged.
    • Red flashing LED and beeping: Low battery, requires recharging.
    • Yellow light: Board is charging.
  • System Indicator: When foot mats are triggered, the System Indicator LED lights up, indicating the system is in running state. A red light indicates a system error (refer to Safety Alerts).
  • Riding: To move, accelerate, or decelerate, tilt your center of gravity in the desired direction. To turn, focus on the direction you wish to turn and stay relaxed. It typically takes 3-5 minutes to get comfortable with balancing.
  • Dismounting: From a stopped position, lift one leg and place your foot back on the ground (stepping back), then step off completely. Ensure feet are fully lifted off the foot mat to avoid unintended movement.
  • Balance & Calibration: If the Turbo is unbalanced, vibrating, or not turning properly, it can be calibrated. Place the scooter on a flat, horizontal surface with foot mats even. Ensure the charger is unplugged and the board is off. Press and hold the ON/OFF button for 15 seconds until the battery indicator flashes 5 times. Release the button, turn the board off, then on again.
  • Safety Alerts: The Running Indicator Light will turn RED and a beep will sound if a system error or improper operation occurs, potentially causing the device to stop suddenly. Common alerts include unsafe riding surfaces, platform tilt exceeding 10 degrees, low battery voltage, charging status, excess speed, overheating, or continuous rocking for over 30 seconds. If the platform tilts more than 10 degrees, the Turbo will power off. If tires are blocked, it will stop after 2 seconds. Sustaining high discharge current (e.g., steep slope) will cause it to power off after 5 seconds. If a Safety Alert causes the Turbo to turn off, power it off and back on to unlock it from a Safety Lock.

Maintenance Features:

Proper care and maintenance are crucial for the longevity and safe operation of the Hover-1 Turbo.

  • Charging:
    • Ensure the charging port is clean and dry, free of dust or debris.
    • Plug the charger into a grounded wall outlet. The charging indicator light on the charger will flash green.
    • Connect the 3-pin charging cable to the Turbo's charging port. Do not force the charger.
    • The charging indicator light on the charger will flash GREEN while charging.
    • When the GREEN light stops flashing, the Hoverboard is fully charged. A full charge takes up to 5 hours. While charging with the scooter powered on, a yellow flashing light will be seen on the scooter. Do not charge for more than 6 hours.
    • After charging, unplug the charger from the Turbo and the power outlet.
  • Battery Care:
    • Use only the supplied Hover-1 charger and charging cable. Using other chargers voids the warranty and can cause damage, overheating, or fire.
    • Do not disassemble the Turbo to remove the battery.
    • Do not connect the Turbo or battery to a power supply plug or car's cigarette lighter.
    • Keep the Turbo and batteries away from fire or direct sunlight to prevent overheating, breaking, or ignition.
    • Do not continue charging if the battery does not recharge within the specified time, as it may become hot, rupture, or ignite.
    • Do not modify, change, or replace the battery.
    • Discontinue use if the battery emits odor, overheats, or leaks. Do not touch leaking materials or breathe fumes.
    • Keep children and animals away from the battery.
    • If the battery discharges or emits substances, immediately distance yourself from it due to fire/explosion risk.
    • Lithium-ion batteries are hazardous materials; follow local, state, and federal laws for recycling, handling, and disposal. Seek immediate medical assistance if exposed to any substance emitted from the battery.
  • General Maintenance:
    • Avoid exposing the Turbo to liquid, moisture, or humidity to prevent damage to internal circuitry.
    • Do not use abrasive cleaning solvents.
    • Avoid extremely high or low temperatures, which can shorten component life, destroy the battery, or distort plastic parts.
    • Do not dispose of the Turbo in fire.
    • Prevent contact with sharp objects to avoid scratches and damage.
    • Do not drop the Turbo from high places, as this can damage internal circuitry.
    • Do not attempt to disassemble the Turbo; doing so voids the warranty.
    • Store the Turbo in a dry, ventilated environment.
    • When transporting, avoid violent crashes or impact.
