Replacing the Printer Pickup Roller
If the printer reguarly misfeeds (no
media feeds through), you might have
to replace or clean the pickup roller.
CAUTION
Failure to complete this procedure
might damage the printer.
• Unplug the power cord from the
printer (image 1), and allow the
printer to cool.
• Open the toner cartridge door, and
remove the toner cartridge
(image 2).
• Locate the pickup roller (image 3).
• Release the small, white tabs on each
side of the pickup roller by pushing
them away from the roller, and then
rotate the pickup roller toward the
front (image 4).
• Gently pull the pickup roller up and
out (image 5).
