Troubleshooting Error Messages
When the printer experiences an error, the control panel will indicate
the error message by five light patterns. Find the light pattern below
that matches the printer light pattern and follow the recommendations
to troubleshoot the error. Some error messages will signal a
secondary light message that will indicate what type of error is
occurring. See “Secondary Light Patterns” on page 102.
Note Common status light patterns are described on page 16.
Paper Out
The printer is out of paper in the requested tray. Filling the trays with
paper will cancel this message and allow you to continue with the
print job.
