Memory tag control
The memory tag is a nonvolatile memory built in the print cartridge.
The cartridge usage condition is monitored by reading/writing the data stored in the memory tag.
The cartridge usage condition is stored in the memory tag as a memory data. The memory
controller reads/writes a memory data into the tag at the specified timing upon receipt of a
command from the DC controller. The DC controller updates a memory data sent from the memory
controller and sends it back to write into the memory tag at a specified timing.
When the following status is received, the DC controller judges a memory tag abnormal and sends
a “cartridge memory abnormality warning” to the formatter.
Access abnormality: reading/writing failed
Data abnormality: wrong data is read/written
