The types of error available for selection
will depend on the SIGNAL rate selected.
The example shown is for DS1 which
includes excess zeros (EXZ).
The alarms which may be generated also
depend on the SIGNAL rate selected.
The example shown here is for DS3.
The Far End Alarm and Control (FEAC)
function allows alarm conditions and
control codewords to be transmitted.
To make measurements on PDH / DSn
signals with ATM payloads, set the
PHYSICAL LAYER to the
interface SIGNAL RATE. MONITOR
and TERMINATE LEVELS should be
set to match the signal level.
