Requirements
The
ratio
meter
may
be
used
to
make
measurements
of
the
ratio
of
any
two
parameters
when
certain
conditions
are
fulfilled,
a.
The
two
voltage
waveforms
,
for
which
the
ratio

will
form
the
ratio,
must
be
in
phase
and

b.
The
rms
voltage
of
the

be
within
certain
voltage
ranges.

When
this

As
an
example
,
consider
the
measurement
of
the
transfer

of
a

amplifier
where
the

The
ratio
to

Because
the
Model

is
designed
so
that
accurate

The
procedure

system
of
this
type
is
described
below.
a.
Set
up
the
signal
generator
so
that
the

is
modulated
at
1000
cps.
b.
Connect
the

enerator
output
to
the
amplifier

through
an
attenuator
of
such
range
that
the
signal
into
the
amplifier
can

c.
Plug
the
Model
416A
into
a
suitable
power
source
and
turn
the
power
switch
to
ON.
