The
two
BNC-to-BNC
cables
supplied
with
the
Model
416A
are
suitable
for
making
the
following
connections
be

each
detector
and
the
Model
416A.

that
it
monitors
the
signal
input
to
the
amplifier
.
(This
connection
must
be
made
between
the
signal
generator
and
the
input
to
the
attenuator
(see
Fig.
17
].

the
output
of
this
detector
to
the
Model
416A
INCIDENT
/REFERENCE
input.

other

so
that
it
monitors
the
output
of
the
amplifie
r.
The
output
of
this
detector
w
ill
be

nected

the
Model
416A
REFLECTED/PROBE
input,
but
is
not
to
be
connected
at
this
time.

signal
input
(reference
voltage)
is
within
the
opera-
ting
limits
of
the
Model
416A
.
The
RF
POWER
MONITOR
(tuning
eye}
permits
a
simple
check
as
to
the
correctness
of
the
modulating
frequency
and
magnitude
of
the
signal
generator
output
voltage.
A
procedure
similar
to
that
given
in
step
4
of
Operating
Proced
ure
for
Slotted
Lines,
above,
may
be
us
e d
to
make
this
check.
