5. HARMONICS/NON-HARMONIC SPURIOUS TEST (NA)
Description
This test sets the HP 4395A RF OUT signal power to +10 dBm and uses a spectrum analyzer to
measure the RF OUT signal's second,third and non harmonic spurious at several frequencies.
The RF OUT signal frequency is set to values where harmonics and non-harmonic spurious are
most likely to be observed.

Procedure
1. Connect the test equipment as shown in Figure 2-6.

Note
Connect the spectrum analyzer's 10 MHz frequency reference output to the
HP 4395A EXT REF Input on the rear panel as shown in Figure 2-6. With this
conguration, both the spectrum analyzer and the HP 4395A are phase locked
to the same reference frequency to eliminate frequency oset errors
.
