CAUTION
The 5335A contains metric threaded HP-IB cable mounting studs
as opposed to English threads. Metric threaded HP 10631A, B, C,
or D HP-IB cable lockscrews must be used to secure the cable to the
Instrument. Identification of the two types of mounting studs and
lockscrews is made by their color. English threaded fasteners are
colored silver and metric threaded fasteners are colored black.
DO NOT mate silver and black fasteners to each other or the
threads of either or both will be destroyed. Metric threaded HP-IB
cable hardware illustrations and part numbers follows.

Logic Levels
The Hewlett-Packard Interface Bus logic levels are TTL compatible, i.e., the true (1) state is
0.0V dc to 0.4V dc and the false (0) state is +2.5V dc to +5.0V dc.

Cabling Restrictions
1. A Hewlett-Packard Interface Bus System may contain no more than 2 metres (6.6 ft.) of
connecting cable per instrument.
2. The maximum accumulative length of connecting cable for any Hewlett-Packard Inter¬
face Bus System is 20.0 metres (65.6 ft.).
