receive,
process,

send
messages
over

bus.

all
controls
on
the
5335A
can
be
programmed
remotely,
and
data
from
measure¬
ments
can
be
sent
to
other
devices
through
the
HP-IB.
The
TALK,
LISTEN,
SRQ,
and
REMOTE
annunciators
in
the
display
will
indicate
the
state
of
the
instrument.
The
following
paragraphs
describe
the
basic
programming
capability
of
the
5335A
Universal
Counter.
TALK:
When
addressed
as
a
Talker,
whether
by
a
controller
or
by
the
TALK
ONLY
switch,
the
5335A
will
try
to
send
data
out
to
other
devices
on
the
bus.
Normally
this
data
is
the
measurement
data.
