1 Secure the embedded Web server a. Open the embedded Web server.
b. Click the Settings tab.
c. On the left side of the window, click Security.

type it again next to Verify Password.

3 Lock the control-panel menus a. Open the HP Web Jetadmin program.
b. Open the DEVICE MANAGEMENT folder in the
drop-down list in the Navigation panel. Navigate
to the DEVICE LISTS folder.
c. Select the MFP.
d. In the Device Tools drop-down list, select
Configure.
e. Configuration Select Security from the
Categories list.
f. Type a Device Password.
g. In the Control Panel Access section, select
Maximum Lock. This prevents unauthorized
users from gaining access to configuration
settings.
