Troubleshooting power-on
Power-on check
1 Verify that the printer is plugged into an active electrical outlet of the correct voltage.
2 Verify that the power-on button is pushed in.
3 Verify that the duplex unit short cord is plugged in to the printer.
4 Make sure the fans are still running.
Note If the front panel display looks dark and an error message appears, check the ribbon cable between
the formatter and the DC controller.
5 Remove any HP JetDirect or other EIO cards, then retry powering-on the printer.
6 Make sure the control panel display is on.
7 Check fuse in power supply (see Figure 7-36).
8 Replace the power supply.
9 Replace the interconnect PCB.
