Procedures for Replacing Formatter and Hard Drive
Below are the procedures for replacing:
1. Formatter board
2. Solid State Drive (steps 5 through 12)
3. Encrypted Hard Disk Drive (steps 13 through 19)
All three procedures are integrated into the same set of steps. As you follow the
steps please note the difference in color for the components being replaced.
The HP Color LaserJet CP5525 series printer is sold in three configurations -
CP5525n CP5525dn CP5525xh. The N and DN models contain the Solid State
Drive and the XH models contain the encrypted internal Hard Disk Drive.
In all three bundles the operating system and firmware resided on the drive. If the
drive is replaced the operating system and firmware will need to be re-installed.
