The Device Fan Has Failed – (Formatter fan failure)
Description
The formatter fan has failed.
Recommended action
1. Turn the product off then on.
2. Check the fan located on the upper left rear of the product. Use a flashlight to examine the fan; it can be
seen through the air vent located at the top of the rear cover. Pull out the formatter and check the fan
connector on the formatter.
3. If the issue persists, replace the formatter fan.
The unit has corrupt data
Description
Data corruption has occurred in the firmware volume.

98.00.01: Corrupt data in the firmware volume
●
98.00.02: Corrupt data in the solutions volume
●
98.00.03: Corrupt data in the configuration volume
●
98.00.04: Corrupt data in the job data volume
Recommended action
For 98.00.01, 98.00.02, and 98.00.03, perform the following steps:
1. Turn the product off, and then on again.
2. Use the Clean Disk item in the Preboot menu.
3. Reload the firmware.
