Remove all tape and orange packing material from the printer before proceeding.
Connect the printer to the power supply unit and plug it into an electrical outlet.
Press the power button to turn on the printer.
Slide the paper guide left, load white paper, and pull out the paper extension.
Open the printer's top cover to access the print cartridges.
Pull the pink tab to remove the clear tape from the print cartridges.
Do not touch the copper strip on the print cartridges.
Insert print cartridges and push them firmly until they click into place.
Close the printer's top cover securely.
Connect the printer to your computer using a USB cable.
Purchase a USB cable separately if one was not included with the printer.
Insert the printer software CD into the CD-ROM drive.
Double-click the CD icon, then the installer icon to start the setup.
Review and accept the software licensing agreement.
Click 'Install' to begin the software installation process.
Wait for the software installation to finish.
