A color bar is an array of squares of various colors that are printed on a
printing device. The purpose of a color bar is to provide
targets for
measuring the performance of the device.
Color bars on printing press sheets provide target areas for the press
operators to measure densities, slur, trap, and a variety of other press
characteristics.
