It is possible to build an ICC profile that combines the color characteristics of
two or more devices, and processes images in one operation for the two or
more selected devices.
An example of this might be a profile which allows a proof printer, like a
Hewlett-Packard ink-jet printer, to behave like a printing press. The device-
link profile adjusts colors to the
color gamut of the ink-jet while creating a
document that closely resembles the final printing machine.
