Setting configuration terminal parameters
To access the device through the console port, you must run a terminal emulator program
(HyperTerminal, PuTTY, or Tera Term) on the configuration terminal. For information about using a
terminal emulator program, see the program's user guide.
The following are the required terminal settings:
Baud rate—9600.
Data bits—8.
Stop bits—1.
Parity—none.
Flow control—none.
Connecting the power cord
To connect an AC power:
1. Make sure the router is reliably grounded
2. Connect one end of the AC power cord to the AC power receptacle on the router, and
connect the other end to the AC power source.

To connect a power adapter:
1. Make sure the router is reliably grounded.
2. Connect the power adapter to an AC power source.
3. Connect the DC plug of the power adapter to the DC-input receptacle on the router.
