When
the
number
in
the
display
would
be
greater
than
9.9999959
x
10%,
the
HP-25
displays
all
9’s
to
indicate
that
the
problem
has
exceeded
the
calculator’s
range.
For
example,
if
you
solve

the
HP-25
will
display
the
answer:

But
if
you
attempt
to
multiply
the
above
result
by
100,
the
HP-25
display
indicates
overflow
by
showing
you

Error
Display
If
you
happen
to
key
in
an
improper
operation,

will
appear
in
the
display.
For

try
to
divide

by

(the
HP-25
will
recognize
this
as
an
improper
operation):
