8 Disconnect the formatter PCB’s cable, which is the ribbon cable closest to the fusing
assembly (see figure 7-50).

9 Disconnect the cables (2) shown in figure 7-50 from the Formatter PCB. Remove the
ribbon cable (1) from the printer base.
NOTE: When removing and replacing the cables, verify the connections to the board, the PCB and
the ribbon cable.
10 Remove the engine controller assembly.
