1,500-sheet feeder media-size sensor
1. Remove the following assemblies:
● Door. See “1,500-sheet feeder door” on page 215.
● Rear and right-side covers. See “1,500-sheet feeder rear cover” on page 217 and
“1,500-sheet feeder right-side cover” on page 218.
2. Unplug the sensor wire-harness at the sensor (callout 1).
3. Remove one screw (callout 2).
4. Remove the sensor.
CAUTION There are two plastic locator pins on the back of the sensor. Be careful not to break them when
the sensor is removed.

Reinstall note When you install the sensor, verify that the sensor body is flush with the chassis.
