Step 12. Attach a Cable
Note
Make sure your computer and printer are
switched off (O) before attaching a cable.
Be careful to install cables securely and
right side up.
To Install a Bi-Tronics Parallel
Cable
1 Plug the cable into both the computer
and printer ports.
2 Use the wire clips to attach the cable
to your printer.
Switch your computer and printer on (I).
To Install a Serial Cable:
1 Plug the cable into both the computer
and printer ports.
2 Secure the cable screws.
Switch your computer and printer on (I).
Note
For serial cable installation, baud rate, pacing,
and DTR polarity need to be set from the
control panel. See Appendix E of the User’s
Manual for more information.
