Companion Printing Solution, make sure the following system
requirements are met.

•8 MB RAM (Windows® 3.1

16 MB RAM (Windows 95)
•Bidirectional communication or ECP port
Note The HP LaserJet 6L printer also supports printing from DOS 5.0 and
above.
Checking Contents
Before you start the installation, check the contents of the box to make
sure that all parts for your HP LaserJet 6L Printer and Companion are
included. If you are missing any items or you notice any damage, notify
the dealer, mail order company, or HP sales office.

Note
Some packages include additional OCR software to support regional
language differences. Also, additional promotional software may be
included on other compact discs.
Note A high-quality IEEE-1284 Compliant Parallel Cable is recommended for
best performance. The IEEE-1284 Compliant Parallel Cable connects
the HP LaserJet Companion to the HP LaserJet 6L Printer, and is not
included in the box. You must purchase this cable separately.
