Configuration Page?
Does the Config Page say “I/O Card
Ready”?
Does the network protocol (e.g.,
TCP/IP) say “Ready”?
Is there an I/P address?
Is the “Config By” method set
correctly?
Is the “Domain Name” correct?
Important to generate a complete
Configuration Page. All parameters must
be correct.
Can you “Ping” the IP Address from your
PC?
This test confirms your product is on the
network.
Can you talk to the printer through the
Embedded Web Server?
EWS confirms two-way network
connectivity.
Do other printers on the network function
successfully?
Please confirm if your printer is an
isolated case or if there is a general
network problem.
Does your printer have the latest
firmware version?
Please check at www.hp.com!
Using your printer's Embedded
JetDirect's Diagnostics, can you
successfully “Ping” other devices on the
network?
The diagnostics will confirm network
connectivity.
