Repositioning the stapler actuator
rod
During transportation of the HP Color LaserJet
M3035 MFP series, the stapler actuator rod
frequently comes off. The stapler will not work
and you may think it is broken. You may repair
this yourself using the following instructions, or
contact HP Customer Support for assistance.
The actuator rod is out of place
1. Open the stapler door and grab the stapler
actuator rod using needle nose pliers (or by
hand) and insert the actuator rod back into
place.
Reposition the actuator rod
2. Verify that the stapler actuator rod is in the
correct position.

3. Push on the stapler actuator rod. It has to
move freely—you should feel a spring action
when pushing the rod inwards.

4. Staple five sheets together to test the
stapler’s functionality.
