• Not enough optional memory is installed to support the PostScript
option for the application being used.
– Verify that the SIMMs are seated properly; replace any defective
SIMMs, or install additional SIMMs.
5Si
• Main motor malfunction.
If x=1: main motor startup failure.
If x=2: main motor rotation failure.
– Turn the printer off, and then turn it back on.
– If the message persists:
Check the cabling between the main motor and the DC
controller.
Replace the main motor.
Replace the DC controller.

• The formatter PCA is defective.
