Communications checks
NOTE Communication problems are normally the customer's responsibility. Time spent
attempting to resolve these problems might not be covered by the Hewlett-Packard product
warranty. Refer the customer to the network administrator for assistance in troubleshooting
network problems.
LAN hardware test
1. To perform a LAN hardware test, touch Administration.
2. Touch Initial Setup.
3. Touch Networking and I/O.
4. Touch Embedded Jetdirect.
5. Touch Diagnostics.
6. Touch LAN HW Test.
7. Touch Yes to run the test.
If the test fails, replace the formatter (see
Formatter on page 116).
