u Shut down your computer
ü Close all applications.
ü Shut down Windows 95.
ü Turn your computer OFF.
v Plug in your photo printer
ü Connect the photo printer to the
computer, using the printer cable that
came in the package.
Note: If you have another printer and will be using it and the photo printer with a switch
(A/B) box, see the HP PhotoSmart Photo Printer User’s Guide for instructions.
w Turn the photo printer ON
ü Press and release the purple power
button (on the front of the printer).
After a few seconds the lights stop blinking
and the green light stays on. The photo
printer is ready to print. If the red light is
on, see the User’s Guide for instructions.
ü Plug the photo printer into a
grounded electrical outlet, using the
power cord that came in the package.
