Step 7: Remove Cartridge Tape

Remove Tape from Cartridges

Remove the tape from both cartridges.

Caution: Do Not Touch Contacts

Caution: Do not touch the copper-colored contacts or re-tape.

Step 8: Insert Print Cartridges

Hold Cartridges with Logo Up

Hold the cartridges with the HP logo facing upwards.

Insert Tri-color and Black Cartridges

Insert tri-color in the left slot, black in the right slot.

Push Cartridges Firmly

Push cartridges firmly until they snap into place.

Close Print Cartridge Door

Close the print cartridge door.

Confirm Cartridge Installation

Press OK when prompted to confirm genuine HP cartridge installation.

Extend Paper Tray

Pull out the tray extender.

Load Plain White Paper

Load plain white paper into the tray.

Press OK

Print Alignment Page

Place Alignment Page on Scanner

Place the top of the alignment page face down in the front right corner of the glass.
