Removal and Replacement Procedures
Processor Power Module
WARNING: To reduce the risk of personal injury from hot surfaces, allow the internal
system components to cool before touching them.
To remove a Processor Power Module (PPM):
1. Complete the preparation procedures. Refer to “Preparation Procedures” earlier in this
chapter.
2. Open the bezel door. Refer to “Bezel Door (Tower Model Only)” earlier in this chapter.
3. Remove the access panel. Refer to “Access Panel” earlier in this chapter.
4. Locate the PPM to be removed.
5. Press the latches outward to release the PPM (1).
6. Lift the PPM away from the socket (2).

To replace a PPM, reverse steps 2 through 6.
